Progestin and/or medroxyprogesterone has more than 30 negative side affects

However, mainstream doctors completely ignore the use of these naturally derived phytoestrogens and usually prescribe horse estrogen (conjugated estrogens) and Progestin, which is not progesterone, but a synthetic “progestin”with some progesterone effects.

Most doctors believe that estrogen replacement prevents bone loss, but it just ain’t so. . Estrogen slows down the leaching of calcium from the bone, but does not facilitate deposition of calcium in the bone, to strengthen it. Progesterone does that, and given by itself, will not only prevent osteoporosis, but will even reverse it. Progestin may strengthen bone, but not nearly as well as natural progesterone.

Of the more than 16 dilion women past menopause, only about half start hormone replacement therapy, and only about half of them stick with it. The rest drop out because of side effects or fear of cancer. Estrogen replacement has been associated with increased cancer of both the uterus and breast, and Progestin has more than 30 negative side effects listed in the Physicians’ Desk Reference, the doctor’s Bible of drug information.

There are three forms of estrogen: estrone, estradiol, and estriol. It was shown almost 20 years ago that estrone and estradiol were the primary cancer culprits, while estriol was actually associated with a reduced cancer incidence. horse estrogen is composed primarily of estrone and estradiol.

Horse estrogen and Progestin are usually taken orally and first pass through the liver, where much of the hormone is lost or altered. Since the hormones are readily absorbed through the skin, topical creams and patches are probably the best way to replace them.
